NTZDC rewarded its top performing staff for the financial year 2015/16 during the Annual Corporate Week meeting which was held in Nakuru in the 1st week of November, 2016. Participation in this years meeting was expanded from the traditional Supervisors and managers to include staff from Kipchabo Tea Factory, Mau and Kuresoi catchment as well as other staff from head office and the zones.

Led by Managing Director and senior management, participants reviewed the previous years performance in production and profitability per zone. Best practices that boosted performance were discussed as well as challenges as the Corporation planned for achievement of its targets in the current financial year.

Managing Director took the workshop through a summary of the Corporation's Strategic Plan (2015-2020) and reiterated that every member of staff had a role to play towards the achievement of the SP objectives and targets. Heads of departments and section heads also made presentations on various issues germane to their functions including Kipchabo Tea Factory and Commercial Unit, Human Resource, Legal and Audit.

Top performers were given cash and other tokens in recognition of their achievement. The ultimate reward of a trip to Mombasa will take place in December, 2016. Meru South got the Ngombe Award for Best Performing Zone while Ms. Selina Cherutich, an accountant at the Head Office scooped the overall Employee of the Year Award for 2016.
