Position Job Profile Key Responsibilities Skills and Attributes
1. Assitant Accountant II The officer will be responsible for ensuring effective accounting of receipts and cash transactions as per approved policies, procedures and control systems in the Factory
    • Prepare timely and accurate reports.
    • Timely and accurate receipting of cash and cheques from clients.
    • Carrying out of reconciliation of receipts and banking as per approved procedures.
    • Ensuring that all cash receipts are controlled, recorded and balanced in the cash book.
    • Prompt and accurate updating of customers’ accounts and issuing of monthly statements.
    • Following up on reimbursements and surrender of imprest as per approved procedures.
  • Must be a holder of a minimum qualification of KCSE C (plain)
  • Must be in possession of CPA II
  • Must have at least 3 years relevant work experience.
  • Must have a valid certificate of good conduct.

 

2. Data Clerk

Timely availability and reliability of warehouse information

  • Accurate information
  • Safety of accountable documents
  • Timely availability of information
  • Customer satisfaction.
    • Capturing data and inputting in the computer
    • Preparing information as per approved procedures
    • Updating stocks accounts as per approved procedures
    • Posting transaction to appropriate accounts as per approved procedures
    • Generating reports on stock balances
    • Generating reports as and when required
    • Performing any other duty as may be assigned from time to time
    • Must be a holder of a minimum qualification of KCSE C(plain)
    • Must have a Diploma in Information Technology from a recognized institution.
    • Must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
    • Must have a valid certificate of good conduct.
3. Production Supervisors

Reporting to the Production Manager, the officers will be responsible for maintenance of safety, supervision of factory workers for effective production of high quality tea.

  • Allocating and supervision of duties to workers and managing their welfare.
  • Liaison between workers and management for effective communication
  • Ensuring effective cost control.
  • Implementing production plans and strategies as per approved policies.
  • Maintaining accurate production records and information
  • Ensuring effective utilization of labour and production resources and minimizing any loss.
  • Requisitioning required material for effective management and supervision of production
  • Performing any other duty as may be assigned from time to time.
  • Minimum KCSE C-
  • Must have a Diploma in food Science or related field, from a recognized institution.            
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in either production or supervision.
  • Must have a valid certificate of good conduct.
4. Boiler Attendant

: Reporting to the Plant Technician, the officer will be responsible for repair, maintenance and ensuring safety of the boiler in the Factory.

  • Adhere to and implement policies and strategies on boiler equipment.
  • Develop maintenance and servicing schedules for the boiler equipment.
  • Ensure timely inspection, testing, repair, service and maintenance of the factory boiler.
  • Proper record keeping of the boiler equipment.
  • Provide guidelines and basic training on proper use and maintenance of factory boiler equipment.
  • Ensure provision of safe working conditions within the boiler factory house and eliminate hazards and risks.
  • Prepare and avail information and reports on all activities.
  • KCSE C
  • Must possess National Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering from recognized institution.
  • Must a have attended a boiler maintenance course, and should be conversant with the statutory requirements of boiler maintenance.
  • Must have five (5) years’ relevant working experience in manufacturing environment.
5. Factory Mechanic

Reporting to the Plant Technician, the successful candidates will be responsible for repairs and service of factory machinery and ensuring safety of the machinery and equipment.

 

 
  • Adhere to and Implement policies and strategies on machinery and equipment motor
  • Develop Maintenance and servicing schedules for all factory machinery and equipment
  • Ensure timely Inspection, testing, repair, maintenance and service of factory machinery
  • Proper record keeping of all factory machinery and equipment
  • Proper Coordination of mechanics
  • Provide guidelines and basic training on proper use and maintenance of factory equipment and machinery
  • Ensure adherence to Health safety and environment regulations
  • Ensure provision of Safe working conditions within the factory and eliminate hazards and risks.
  • Prepare and avail information and reports on all activities
 
  • Must be a holder of minimum of KCSE C
  • Must be a holder of Diploma in Mechanical/ Automotive Engineering
  • Must be a person who pays attention to detail.
  • Must have at least 3 years hand-on proven relevant working experience.
  • Must have a valid certificate of good conduct.
6. Welder / Fabricator

Lay out, fit, and fabricate metal components to assemble structural forms, such as machinery frames, bridge parts, and pressure vessels, using knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and engineering requirements.

 
  • Lays out, positions, and secures parts and assemblies according to specifications, using straightedge, combination square, calipers, and ruler.
  • Tack-welds or welds components and assemblies, using electric, gas, arc, or other welding equipment.
  • Cuts workpiece, using powered saws, hand shears, or chipping knife.
  • Melts lead bar, wire, or scrap to add lead to joint or to extrude melted scrap into reusable form.
  • Installs or repairs equipment, such as lead pipes, valves, floors, and tank linings.
  • Observes tests on welded surfaces, such as hydrostatic, x-ray, and dimension tolerance to evaluate weld quality and conformance to specifications.
  • Inspects grooves, angles, or gap allowances, using micrometer, caliper, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Removes rough spots from workpiece, using portable grinder, hand file, or scraper.
  • Welds components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
 
  • A Diploma in Mechanical Engineering production / plant option or its equivalent.
  • Must have CAD skills.
  • Must have 3 years’ experience in the manufacturing industry
  • Well-developed technical communication skills, as well as strong and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Conversant with maintenance and installation of color sorters, dryers, blowers, conveyers and Elevators.
  • Conversant with Welding, fitting, Lubrication and Drilling
  • Basic machine trouble shooting skills
  • Good Knowledge in reading and Interpretation of Drawings.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in welding
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Must have a valid certificate of good conduct.
7. Factory Electrician

Reporting to the plant technician, the successful candidates will be responsible for all electrical operations of the Factory and ensuring safety of the electrical machinery and equipment.

 
  • Adhere to and Implement policies and strategies on machinery, equipment and motor vehicles
  • Develop Maintenance and servicing schedules for all electrical machinery and equipment
  • Report any damages and replacement immediately
  • Ensure timely Inspection, testing, repair, maintenance and service
  • Proper record keeping of all factory electrical machinery, equipment
  • Proper Coordination of electricians
  • Provide guidelines and basic training on proper use and maintenance of electrical equipment and machinery
  • Ensure adherence to Health safety and environment regulations
  • Ensure provision of Safe working conditions within the factory and eliminate hazards and risks.
  • Prepare and avail information and reports on all activities
 
  • Must be a holder of minimum qualifications of KCSE C
  • Must possess a Diploma in Electrical Engineering
  • Must have at least 3 years relevant expérience
  • Must have a valid certificate of good conduct.
8. Sales Representatives

Managing and developing business, servicing and ensuring customer requirements are met.

 
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets as agreed with supervisor.
  • Promote, seek and secure sales orders for company products and participate in all sales and marketing events within the allocated territory.
  • To keep distributors aligned to the agreed plans and ensure availability at all outlets within the allocated sales territory.
  • Monitor sales of distributors, stockists and key accounts on a regular basis and report accordingly.
  • Collect and account for all sales proceeds accordingly.
  • Listing and ensuring company products achieve desired visibility at traditional retail and key accounts trade.
  • Prepare and maintain a record on sales activities and other related market activities including those on competition and advice management accordingly.
  • Train and supervise sales promoters carrying out special promotion events and ensure effective execution of their tasks.
  • Carry out market intelligence to establish competition and presence of counterfeit or fake products.
  • Participate in execution and implementation of trade and consumer activities as rolled out.
 
  • Must be a holder of a diploma in sales and marketing from a recognized Institution. A degree in the same field is an added advantage.  
  • Computer literacy.
  • Must have a clean driving license and able to travel extensively.
  • Should possess excellent sales and negation skills as well as ability to reach a consultative and solution based sell.
  • Should be passionate in meeting the customer satisfaction.
  • Must have a minimum 2 years’ experience in sales, preferably in FMCG
  • Must have a valid certificate of good conduct.
